How to Make Onion Pickle


  1. 200 g sliced Onions
  2. 2 Teaspoon (Tsp) salt
  3. Zest and juice of a Lemon
  4. 1.5 Tsp Sugar
  5. ½ Tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  6. 1 Chopped Chilli (Deseeded)
  7. 1 Tablespoon (Tbsp) Chopped COriander


  1. Mix the onions and salt, keep aside for 10 mins
  2. Zest the lemon and mix the juice, sugar,chillies (powder and fresh), coriander to make the pickling liquid
  3. Squeeze the Onions (Discard the water) and put them into the pickling liquid
  4. Mix well
  5. Best served with BBQ or Tandoori Food or Fried Meat Dishes
  6. 5-6 Serves (as a side)
